Three lawsuits against the Town of Greece are near settlement, with minor details - details that still can generate some rancor - left to be resolved.

The town appears prepared to settle with Robert “Bobby” Johnson, a former town employee who alleged he was forced to work thousands of unpaid hours under the town’s previous administration, as well as lawsuits brought by Greece resident Ryan Murphy and his family and Tina Bachman, the wife of a former town police officer who was fired by the town.

Settlement conference

At a conference last week before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark Pedersen, it became clear that settlement might not resolve hard feelings. In fact, some of the unresolved issues are pledges to avoid “disparagement” among the parties.
